Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Beetroot medium 1 grated finely
  2. Potato medium 1 boiled and mashed
  3. Salt 1/4 teaspoon
  4. Minced garlic 1/2 teaspoon
  5. White pepper powder 1/4 teaspoon
  6. Chaat masala powder 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Coriander powder 1/4 teaspoon
  8. Bread crumbs 1 tablespoon
  9. Bread crumbs 1 cup for coating
  10. Large egg 1
  11. Chopped cilantros 2 tablespoons
  12. Oil for Deep frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl , take mashed potato and grated beetroot .
  2. Add salt , minced garlic , coriander powder , chaat masala .
  3. Add 1 tablespoon bread crumb .
  4. Add white pepper .
  5. Add chopped cilantros .
  6. Now mix the dough with your fingers and see whether the dough is ready to hold shape.
  7. Make sure the potatoes and beetroots are drained completely before use to ensure there are no moisture which may hinder in holding shapes .
  8. Now take small portion of the dough and form a roll / cylindrical shape within your palms.
  9. In a bowl take gently whisked egg .
  10. Take a plate of bread crumbs .
  11. Now dip the beet roll in the egg first .
  12. Then roll it over bread crumbs so rolls get perfected coated with bread crumbs .
  13. Now transfer the coated roll to a plate .
  14. Repeat the steps to prepare other rolls in a similar way .
  15. Heat oil for deep frying .
  16. Now gently drop these coated rolls in the hot oil .
  17. Simmer the flame and fry till you get a nice golden red colour . Maintain low flame for even cooking .
  18. Healthy Beet Rolls are ready .
  19. Serve hot with chutneys / ketchup / mayonnaise.
