ABOUT Idli Burger RECIPE

I love making snacks that are quick and easy to make and definitely yummy in taste. If you have readymade Idlis in hands, making this dish would be real easy! For all the idli and burger lovers out there, this is a must try!

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Readymade Idlis
  2. For Tikki :
  3. 4 boiled potatoes
  4. 1/2 cup grated paneer
  5. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  6. Salt
  7. Chopped mint leaves
  8. Chopped coriander leaves
  9. Chaat masala
  10. 1.5 tsp cornflour
  11. For arranging Burger:
  12. Sliced tomatoes
  13. Sliced onions
  14. Sliced cucumber
  15. mayonnaise
  16. Tomato ketchup
  17. Grated cheese or cheese slice
  18. Chaat masala

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix potatoes, paneer, red chilli powder, mint leaves, coriander leaves, chaat masala and cornflour together.
  2. Mix them gently and make a dough.
  3. Apply some oil in your hands and make small balls from the dough and gently press them to give the shape of a tikki.
  4. Now heat the oil and shallow fry the tikki till they are crisp and golden brown from both the sides.
  5. Now take Idlis and slit them into two roundels.
  6. Apply mayonnaise on the one half of the idli and tomato ketchup on the other half.
  7. Place some slices of tomatoes, onions and cucumber, also place the tikki and sprinkle chaat masala.
  8. Now place a cheese slice or grated cheese on the top of tikki and cover it with another half of Idli.
  9. Skew a slice of tomato and cucumber in a toothpick and place it on the top of burger.
