As the name suggests, it is made with whole garam masalas and is a popular dish in the Indian Sub Continent, mainly North India, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Whole spices are used in this flavourful gravy that goes well with naans. A spicy and a hot gravy that is certainly not for the weak hearted. However the amount of spice can be reduced according to one's own liking that suits your families. Tomatoes can be added if desired and are purely optional.
