Restaurant style indo-chinese starter that's crisp with sweet, sour and is spicy.
Easy to make and very tasty.
Rinse and wipe dry the mushrooms. Trim the stalks and halve them.
Make a flowing medium consistency batter with all purpose flour, cornflour, black pepper, salt and water.
Heat oil in a kadai. Dip each mushroom slice in the batter and coat uniformly with the batter. Add them to the medium hot oil and fry till they are slight golden and crisp. Once done keep it aside.
Heat oil in another pan, add onions and stir fry on medium heat for a minute. Now add capsicum, ginger, garlic and green chilies. Cook for 2-3 mins.
Now add the fried mushroom, leftover batter mix and the sauces mixture. Mix it well and cook for another one minute. Garnish with spring onion greens or chopped coriander leaves.
SERVING: 2
