ABOUT Chesse Potato koftas RECIPE

Kofta word is originated from Urdu and Persian, literally ‘pounded meat.’ But now days koftas are made of various veggies . koftas has numerous varities. hee i am presenting paneer and potato kofta.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Boiled potatoes 2
  2. Cheese(paneer) grated 100gms
  3. Boiled peas 1 teaspoon
  4. chopped cashews 2-4
  5. Raisins 7-8
  6. Ginger chopped
  7. Green chillies chopped
  8. Asafoetida a pinch
  9. For Gravy ::::
  10. Plain Curd 2 tbsp
  11. Bay leaf(tez Patta) 1
  12. Cloves 4
  13. Black peppercorn 5-6
  14. Cinnamon stick 1
  15. Garlic pods 2
  16. Onion sliced 2
  17. Tomatoes sliced 2
  18. Cashews soaked 8-10
  19. Fresh cream 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. For Koftas:: Heat oil in a pan. Add some red chilly powder, coriander powder and asafoetida. Add boiled potatoes and mix well.
  2. Add salt and peas now now add garam masala and dry mango powder (amchoor). Switch off the flame and let this cool.
  3. Once done add grated Paneer and mix well. Flatten this mix and add chopped cashews, raisins and chopped green chilly and ginger.
  4. Make guava size balls from this mix and For healthy version cook these koftas in appe pan.
  5. for gravy:::
  6. Heat ghee in a pan. Add whole spices to it. Add sliced onions, chopped garlic and sautè till they are golden.
  7. Add soaked cashews and tomatoes and cook till oil start separating. cool this and grind.
  8. Heat butter in an another pan and add the ground paste. Add some water and cook it
  9. Now add kasoori methi and beaten curd.Mix it well. Heat must be at low.
  10. Cook for a couple of mins and add fresh cream. Transfer it to a bowl and add koftas to gravy just 5 mins before serving
