Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. grated Ginger 2 TBS
  2. lemon juice 1/4 cup
  3. sugar one cup
  4. ice cubes as required
  5. lemon sliced thinly for garnish 1
  6. brown sugar one TBS

Instructions

  1. In a small pan stir together 2 cups of water with sugar and Ginger.
  2. bring the mixture to a boil stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. simmer it for 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. strain the syrup through fine sieve, set over a bowl and let it cool.
  5. in a jug combined cooled syrup 3 and half cups of water and lime juice.
  6. Stir the lemonade well.
  7. Divide the lemonade among tall glasses filled with ice cubes.
  8. Garnish each glass with a lemon slice and some brown sugar.
