Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Whole milk 1 litre
  2. Vermicelli 50 grams
  3. Brown sugar 50 grams
  4. Sweetened Condensed milk 1/4 tin
  5. Koya 5 tablespoons
  6. Cardamom powder 1 teaspoon
  7. Mango purée 6 tablespoons
  8. Pistachios
  9. Ghee 2 tablespoons
  10. Mango pieces 1 cup

Instructions

  1. Heat a tablespoon of ghee in a pan . Roast the vermicelli to brown colour . See that you don’t burn it .
  2. In another saucepan , boil 1 litre whole milk .
  3. Let the milk boil for a couple of minutes .
  4. Now pour the boiling milk to the roasted vermicelli . Simmer the flame . Stir and cook the vermicelli till the milk reduces .
  5. Add koya . Mix gently .
  6. Add mango purée .
  7. When the consistency thickens add sugar .
  8. Add condensed milk .
  9. Add cardamom powder .
  10. The dessert shouldn’t be too watery nor too thick . Should look glossy.
  11. Switch off the flame .
  12. Transfer to a serving bowl .
  13. Garnish with pistachios .
  14. Arrange the cut mango pieces in a circular pattern .
  15. Serve warm or chilled as desired.
