Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Roasted Vermicelli or semaiyya - 350 gms
  2. Butter -5- 6 tbsp
  3. Orange food colour - 3-4 drops
  4. Ricotta chesse - 200 gms
  5. Mozzarella cheese - 100 gms
  6. Sugar - 1 cup
  7. Water - 1 cup
  8. Rose water - 2 tbsp
  9. Chopped almond - 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Break the vermicelli or semaiyyan into small pieces.. Now put it in a bowl ,and mix well butter , vermicelli and few drops orange colour.
  2. Make sugar syrup with 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water , add rose water .. let the sugar syrup reach one string consistency ... Switch off flame..
  3. Grease springform or loose bottom baking pan with little butter..
  4. Now begin with layer ..spread half of buttery vermicelli into the baking pan.
  5. Then spread ricotta cheese and then spread mozzarella cheese on top..Press little with back of spoon or use your finger to tap and smooth out evenly ..
  6. Then spread last layer of buttery vermicelli..Again press little to smooth out evenly.
  7. Put filled baking pan into preheated oven and bake it on 180 C for 30 - 40 minutes..
  8. After baking done . Take out baking pan from oven and quickly spread sugar syrup on top all over
  9. Let sugar syrup soak for 10 - 12 minutes
  10. Then garnish with almond or pistachios ..
  11. Ready delicious Arabian dessert kunafa / kunafeh
