ABOUT Plum blitz / plum cooler RECIPE

Refreshing hydrating vitamin -C rich this summer cooler with beautiful red hue perfect to rock an iftaar party.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Plums 250 gm
  2. Sugar 500 gm
  3. Water 500 ml
  4. Rock salt
  5. Roasted cumin powder
  6. Ice cubes
  7. Soda water

Instructions

  1. Wash the plums.
  2. Boil plums with water for 5 minutes until plums get mushy.
  3. Strain and discard skin and seeds.
  4. Heat the plum juice again with sugar until sugar dissolves completely.
  5. Cool and fill in a clean bottle.
  6. Plum squash is ready. It stays good for a month in refrigerator.
  7. To serve fill a glass up-to 1/3 with plum squash.
  8. Add rock salt and roasted cumin powder to taste.
  9. Add ice cubes.
  10. Top with chilled soda water.
  11. Garnish with mint sprigs.
