ABOUT Chocolate Shahi Toast RECIPE

This is a delicious toast with infusion of chocolate in it.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. For Rabdi
  2. 4 cups full fat milk
  3. 2 tblspn sugar
  4. 1/4 tspn cardamom powder
  5. 1 tblspn rose water
  6. Ingredients for sugar syrup
  7. 1/2 cup sugar
  8. 1/4 cup water
  9. 1/4 tspn cardamom powder
  10. 1 tspn rose essence
  11. Ingredients for frying bread
  12. 6 slices of bread
  13. 2 tblspn ghee
  14. Ingredients for garnishing
  15. 12 to 15 almonds blanched
  16. Few strands of saffron ( optional )
  17. 3 tblspn chocolate syrup

Instructions

  1. For making Rabri, take a heavy pan.
  2. Put 4 cups of milk in it.
  3. When the milk comes to boil, simmer the gas and stirr in between so that it does not get burnt from the bottom.
  4. When milk starts get reducing, you can add 2 tblspn grinded dryfruits powder but its optional.
  5. Actually dryfruits powder is added to reduce the cooking time of rabri.
  6. Stirr again and again and scrape so that the milk does not get burnt from the middle and sides of the pan.
  7. Keep on removing the clotted cream and scrapping.
  8. When the milk becomes thickened then switch off the flame.
  9. Now add sugar and mix it so that it dissolves.
  10. Now add rose water.
  11. After that we have to toast the bread.
  12. Cut the edges of the bread and cut them in to yriangle shape or what ever you want.
  13. Heat the flat pan and brush it with 1 tspn ghee on it.
  14. Place the slice of the bread on medium heat.
  15. Now toast them.
  16. When it gets brown and crispy, flip it and again toast it.
  17. Now transfer the bread slices on the plate.
  18. Now for making sugar syrup, mix 1/2 cup of sugar with 1/4 cup water in a pan.
  19. The flame should be low.
  20. When the solution starts boiling, then cook it till you get one thread consistency of the sugar syrup.
  21. Now switch off the flame and add cardamom powder and mix it.
  22. Now we have to make Shahi Toast, so dip the bread slices into the sugar syrup.
  23. Take out with the help of tong.
  24. The bread slices should be coated with the sugar syrup evenly.
  25. Now arrange them on the serving tray.
  26. Pour all the rabri on the sugar coated bread slices.
  27. Garnish them with almonds and choco syrup.
  28. Serve this Chocolate Shahi Toast chilled or warm.
