This is a quick procedure for biryani. Take less time than classic one and of course with less masala, and oil , but taste was awesome..

Chicken - 500gm
Basmati rice - 1 1/2 cup
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Oil - 1tbsp
Garam masala powder- 1 tsp ( cinnamon, clove nutmeg and cardamom)
Chilly powder - 1/2 tbsp
Pepper powder - 1 tsp
Cinnamon - 4-5 sticks
Clove - 5-6 nos
Cardamom - 5-6 nos
Bay leaves - 2 nos
Chopped onion - 1 cup
Chopped ginger garlic - 1 tbsp
ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Lemon juice - 1/4 cup
Curd - 3-4 tbsp
salt as per taste
Chopped Coriander
Instructions
Marinate chicken with ginger garlic paste, garam masala powder, chilly powder, pepper powder, salt and curd for 10 minutes.
Wash rice, drain out that water and keep aside.
Add mixture of ghee and oil in a pressure cooker and heat. Add all whole spices, finely chopped ginger garlic and fry a little. Add chopped onion and fry till colour is redish.
Add marinated chicken and saute for 2-3 minutes. Add washed rice, cook for another 2 minutes and add 2 cups of water.
Put the lid and cook for 10 minutes ( one whistle). Once.the steam subsidies, open the lid of the cooker and add chopped coriander.
Dish is ready to serve.
