Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 3 leftover Idlis
  2. 2 potato boiled & grated
  3. ½ tsp ginger garlic paste
  4. 3 finely chopped green chillies
  5. 1 onion finely chopped
  6. 3 tbsp procesed cheese grated
  7. salt to taste
  8. ½ tsp chaat masala
  9. 2 tbsp coriander leaves finely chopped
  10. for coating:
  11. 2 tbsp all purpose flour
  12. 2tbsp cornflour
  13. 1cup bread crumbs
  14. 1/4 tsp salt
  15. Oil for deep frying
  16. ¼ tsp pepper crushed

Instructions

  1. FIRSTLY, IN A LARGE MIXING BOWL SMASH ALL IDLIS
  2. ADD 2 BOILED POTATO AND SMASH IT
  3. NOW ADD CHOPPED GREEN CHILLIES
  4. ADD CHOPPED ONION
  5. ADD GINGER GARLIC PASTE
  6. ADD CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES
  7. ADD SALT TO TASTE
  8. ADD ALL THE SPICES
  9. NOW ADD GRATED PROCESSED CHEESE
  10. MIX WELL MAKING SURE THE SPICES ARE COMBINED WELL.
  11. PINCH A SMALL BALL SIZED POTATO AND IDLI MIXTURE (DOUGH) AND ROLL TO CYLINDRICAL SHAPE.
  12. FURTHER PREPARE BATTER BY MIXING 2TBSP CORN FLOUR,2TBSP MAIDA(ALL PURPOSE FLOUR) ¼ TSP PEPPER, ¼ TSP SALT AND ¼ CUP WATER. PREPARE A SMOOTH FLOWING CONSISTENCY BATTER.
  13. DIP IN CORN FLOUR BATTER COVERING ALL SIDES. THEN ROLL IN BREAD CRUMBS.
  14. DEEP FRY, THE NUGGETS IN HOT OIL.
  15. FLIP AND FRY ALL THE SIDES ON MEDIUM FLAME TILL IT TURNS GOLDEN AND CRISP.
  16. FINALLY, DRAIN OVER KITCHEN PAPER TO REMOVE EXCESS OIL AND SERVE "IDLI NUGGETS" WITH TOMATO SAUCE.
