Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Cooked rice 3-4 cups
  2. 1/2 Cup Tuvr dal
  3. Tamarind lemon size
  4. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  5. Salt 2 tsp
  6. Sambar powder 2 tbsp
  7. Coriander leaves
  8. Coconut milk 1/2 cup optional
  9. Vegetables required
  10. Green chilli 1
  11. Onion 2
  12. Carrot 2
  13. Potato 2
  14. Capsicum 1
  15. Radish 2
  16. Green peas 1/4 cup
  17. curry leaves
  18. For Seasoning
  19. ghee
  20. Mustard
  21. Jeera
  22. Methi
  23. Cashews
  24. Sesame oil for frying Vegetables

Instructions

  1. PRESSURE COOK 1/2 CUP TUVR DAL AND 2 TOMATOES
  2. SOAK LEMON SIZE TAMARIND
  3. HEAT OIL IN KADAI. ADD 2 SLICED ONION
  4. WHEN ONION IS TRANSLUCENT, ADD 1/4 CUP GREEN PEAS AND CURRY LEAVES
  5. ADD 1 SLIT GREEN CHILLI
  6. ADD CHOPPED 10 BEANS, 2 RADISH
  7. ADD CHOPPED 2 POTATOES, 2 CARROT AND 1 CAPSICUM
  8. SAUTE VEGETABLES
  9. ADD TAMARIND EXTRACT
  10. ADD 1 TSP TURMERIC POWDER AND 2 TSP SALT
  11. ADD 2 TBSP SAMBAR POWDER
  12. MIX WELL AND PRESSURE COOK FOR 3 WHISTLES
  13. ADD COOKED TUVR DAL
  14. ADD CORIANDER LEAVES AND 1/2 CUP COCONUT MILK(OPTIONAL)
  15. ADD SEASONING MADE WITH GHEE, MUSTARD, JEERA, METHI AND CASHEWS
  16. ADD 3-4 CUPS COOKED RICE
  17. MIX WELL. TURN OFF THE FLAME AND REST FOR 10 MINUTES
