ABOUT Healthy Wheat Pasta RECIPE

Cheesy Pasta is kids all time favourite but maida used for making white sauce is not good for health , here i have used wheat pasta and white sauce is prepared from whole wheat flour, sauteed veggies can also be added to increase nutritive value .

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Wheat Pasta - 1 cup
  2. Milk 2 - 3 cups
  3. Wheat flour 1 tablespoon
  4. Butter / olive oil - 1/2 tablespoon
  5. Black pepper powder as per taste
  6. Oregano 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Mixed herbs 1 /2 teaspoon
  8. Chilly flakes 1/2 -1 teaspoon
  9. Grated cheese 1 tablespoon
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Water 3 to 4 cups for boiling pasta

Instructions

  1. ASSEMBLE ALL INGREDIENTS
  2. HEAT BUTTER IN A PAN AND SAUTE WHEAT FLOUR TILL START CHANGING COLOR. ADD MILK AND STIR
  3. MIX WELL UNTIL ITS LUMPS FREE
  4. IN SEPARATE PAN, BOIL PASTA TILL HALF DONE
  5. DRAIN EXCESS HOT WATER AND WASH PASTA IN COLD WATER
  6. ADD BLACK PEPPER POWDER TO MILK AND MIX WELL
  7. ADD MIXED HERBS AND OREGANO
  8. ADD SALT. MIX WELL. COOK WHILE STIRRING CONSTANTLY
  9. NOW ADD HALF OF THE GRATED CHEESE
  10. ADD BOILED PASTA
  11. MIX EVERYTHING WELL TOGETHER
  12. KEEP STIRRING
  13. TRANSFER IT TO SERVING PLATE AND SPRINKLE SOME MORE HERBS, CHILLY FLAKES AND CHEESE
