ABOUT Methi Namkeen RECIPE

All time favorite snack can be prepared anytime and tastes awesome with hot tea or coffee. In this recipe I have flavored namak pare or shankarpali using kasuri methi. Also cumin and carom seeds have been used.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Maida or Flour - 3 cups
  2. Oil - 2 tablespoon for kneading(warm) + for frying
  3. Red chilli powder - 1/2 tablespoon (optional)
  4. Crushed cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  5. Crushed carom seeds- 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Kasuri methi - 1 1/2 tablespoon
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Water for kneading as required

Instructions

  1. Mix 3 cups flour, 1/2 tablespoon red Chilli, 1/2 teaspoon carom seeds, 1 Teaspooon cumin seeds, 1.5 teaspoon Kasuri methi and 2 tablespoon warm Oil
  2. Add sufficient amount of Water and knead into a stiff Dough
  3. Keep aside to rest for 30 Minutes
  4. Divide dough into 4-5 Portions
  5. Roll one portion into a Large roti
  6. Cut into diamonds
  7. Deep fry in hot oil till Golden brown and crisp, cool And store in an air tight Container
