Healthy Ragi Custard Biscuits Baked in tawa . Totally hassle free . Can anything be easy than this ?
Nice one.
Take 1/2 cup fingermillet flour in a wide bowl .
Add 1 cup whole wheat flour .
Add 2 tablespoons custard powder .
Add 3/4 teaspoon baking powder .
Add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence .
Add 1/4 cup melted room temperature ghee .
Add 1/2 cup honey.
Mix all together . Could see a crumbled dough . Add 1/4 cup milk gradually to moisten the flour .
Spread a plastic sheet on a flat surface .
Transfer the moist flour to the sheet . Keep gathering the flour to a smooth dough . Don’t knead .
Add milk if required . Gather to a log . Tightly wrap it in a plastic sheet .
Put the wrapped log in the fridge . Refrigerate for 30 to 40 minutes .
After 40 minutes , unwrap the log . It’s set perfectly .
Slice the log into equal sized biscuits .
Place a tawa on the stove top . Line an aluminum thick foil on the tawa .
Take a lid . Seal the lid with aluminum foil to lock moisture .
Place the biscuits on the tawa ( on aluminum sheet ). Cover with the sealed lid .Bake in low for
25 minutes or until biscuits turn light brown . Crunchy Ragi Custard Biscuits are ready.
Cool them completely .
