ABOUT Orange Rasagolla served in chocolate cup RECIPE

Rasagolla is a very famous Indian dessert. Here I made rasagolla with a twist. In this recipe I used fresh orange juice to make orange flavoured rasagolla. No artificial color or ingredients used. These delicious rasagollas are served in edible chocolate cups. Perfect eye-catching dessert for any get together or party.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Milk 1litre
  2. Fresh orange juice 1cup
  3. Sugar 1cup
  4. Water 2cups
  5. Sooji/Semolina 2tsp
  6. Kesar few strands
  7. Orange zest 1tsp
  8. For chocolate cups
  9. Dark chocolate 1/2cup
  10. Silicon moulds 5

Instructions

  1. Boil milk, add 1/2cup orange juice till chhena separates.
  2. Strain and keep aside.
  3. Take orange chhena, sooji and knead well with palms till soft and tender. Make lemon sized balls.
  4. Add sugar, water, orange juice, orange zest, few kesar strands in a heavy bottom pan or pressure cooker. Let it boil.
  5. When it starts boiling add the balls and cook covered around 10/12mins, balls will became double the size.
  6. Take out the rasagollas carefully.
  7. Boil the left over syrup some more time till it thickens. Add rasagollas and let it cool down.
  8. For chocolate bowl, melt dark chocolate and pour in silicon moulds.
  9. With the help of a spoon coat the moulds well and keep in refrigerator for 30mins. Slowly demould.
  10. Now take one orange rasagolla in choco cup and pour 1tbsp syrup. Serve.
