ABOUT GULAB JAMUN KOFTA CURRY RECIPE

This is ad delicious kofta curry made with fried gulab jamun.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Gulab jamun - 2
  2. Crushed green peas - 2 tbsp
  3. Grated cabbage - 2 tbsp
  4. Grated carrot - 2 tbsp
  5. Grated capsicum - 2 tbsp
  6. Corn flour - 2 tbsp
  7. Salt - to taste
  8. Silver vark - 2
  9. For gravy
  10. Chopped onion - 1 medium size
  11. Garlic cloves - 4 - 5
  12. Ginger - 1 inch stick
  13. Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  14. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  15. Kashmiri mirch powder - 1 tsp
  16. Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  17. Black cardamom - 1
  18. Green cardamom - 1
  19. Cinnamon - 1 inch stick
  20. Black pepper - 2 - 3
  21. Cloves - 2 - 3
  22. Mace - 1 piece
  23. Curd - 2 tbsp
  24. Milk - 1/2 cup
  25. Cream - 2 tbsp
  26. Tomato puree - 1/2 cup
  27. Salt - to taste
  28. Oil - 1 cup
  29. Chopped coriander leaves - 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Mash the gulab jamun and add grated cabbage,carrot,capsicum and peas and mix well
  2. Add corn flour and salt and make a smooth dough.
  3. Divide the dough into equal size balls
  4. Roll each balls between your palms.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the gulab jamun kofta in a medium flame.
  6. Now we make the gravy
  7. Take a blender add chopped onion,ginger garlic,black pepper,cloves,green and black cardamom,cinnamon stick,mace,coriander powder,red chilly powder,turmeric powder,kashmiri mirch powder and little water and blend it to make a paste.
  8. In other pan heat oil and add all spices and saute till spices leave the oil.
  9. Add 1/2 cup of milk and cream and mix well.
  10. Add tomato puree and curd and mix well.
  11. Add 1/2 cup of water and cover it to make semi thick gravy.
  12. Cover the gulab jamun kofta with silver vark and place into the bowl and pour the hot gravy.
  13. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve
