A delicious snack with leftover idlis.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Idli 4 or 5 ground to a powder 1 1/2 cups.
  2. Maida 2 tbsp
  3. Egg 1 well beaten
  4. Bread crumbs 2 tbsp
  5. Onion 1 chopped
  6. Green chillies 2 chopped
  7. Coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp
  8. chilli powder 1 tsp
  9. Garam masala 1/4 tsp
  10. Garlic paste 1/4 tsp
  11. Salt
  12. Corn flour 2 tbsp , mix with a little water.
  13. Bread crumbs 1/2 cup
  14. Oil to deep fry

Instructions

  1. Make a dough , adding enough water with all ingredients , except the last three.
  2. Heat oil.
  3. Take lemon size balls from dough. Round it , dip in Cornflour mixture & roll with bread crumbs.
  4. Deep fry in oil. Repeat the process with all the other balls.
  5. Serve hot with chilli tomato sauce or ketchup.
  6. Take care while adding salt. As in idli we add enough salt.
