Chicken nd potato curry in coconut milk.

Ingredients Serving: 9

  1. 1 whole chicken cut into medium pieces..
  2. 3 finely sliced onions.
  3. 3 tomatoes.
  4. Ginger and garlic paste 2 tsps.
  5. 5-6 green chillies.
  6. 2 cups thick coconut milk.
  7. 1&1/2 tsp coriander powder.
  8. 2 tsps garam masala powder .
  9. 1 lemon
  10. 3 tbsps coconut oil.
  11. Coriander leaves chopped.
  12. 2 large peeled and diced potatoes.
  13. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp.
  14. Pepper powder 1/4 th tsp.
  15. Whole garam masalas few.

Instructions

  1. In a kadai , add oil, add whole garam masalas, then add sliced onions..
  2. Sautey till golden brown.
  3. Add roughly cut green chillies, and tomatoes .. sprinkle salt and let the tomatoes cook...
  4. Add ginger garlic paste , turmeric powder, coriander powder, pepper powder, and mix well ..
  5. Add diced potatoes and chicken, mix well and let it cook... no need to add water, as chicken will release its moisture... but if you think it will burn bottom, add a little water...
  6. Close the kadai and let the chicken and potatoes cook.. add salt as per taste.
  7. Stir in between... to avoid sticking or burning.
  8. Once the potatoes and chicken are cooked add in coconut milk..
  9. Add garam masala powder..
  10. Lett boil, then add lemon juice and fresh chopped corinader leaves.
  11. Serve hot....
