Presenting my innovative recipe with banana flower ie the tender bananas inside the flower. It’s a three stage process recipe. First we need to clean the buds taking the small hard stick from the middle. wash and blanched. Second stage need to make them as kofta. And the third stage is to make them dip in a gravy.
It’s tasty and goes well with rice.
Clean the tender banana flower/buds
Boil them for 5-7 minutes and then take them out of water and roughly smash them. Mix flour, fennel powder, salt 1/2 tablespoon, green chillies, coriander leaves, cumin coriander powder with the smashed flowers
Make small ball size portion from the mixture and make koftas to fry in oil.
Make koftas with all the mixture and keep aside
Now in a kadai heat 4-5 tablespoon of oil and sauté onion paste, ginger garlic paste, tomato paste in it. Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, bay leaf and garam masala powder in it. Sauté them till the masalas leaves oil.
Add a cup of water and boil. Add the koftas after the water reduces to half.
Boil it for a minute more then off the flame and serve.
