ABOUT Baby jackfruit piralan RECIPE

A delicious curry made with jack fruits, to be served with roti or some dal and rice.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Baby jackfruit peeled and cubed 1 cup
  2. Ginger 1 1/2 inch piece chopped
  3. Onion 1 chopped
  4. Tomato chopped half cup
  5. Green chillies 3 numbers chopped
  6. Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Chilly powder 1 teaspoon
  8. Pepper powder 1 teaspoon
  9. Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon
  10. Coriander powder 2 teaspoon
  11. Oil 4 table spoon
  12. Curry leaves
  13. Salt

Instructions

  1. In a pressure cooker add 1/4 cup water, jackfruit pieces, turmeric powder, chilly powder and cook in medium heat till 2 whistles
  2. In a pan add oil add mustard seed and jeera
  3. Add onion, ginger and green chillies and saute it
  4. Add tomatoes and saute till oil separates
  5. Open cooker and drain water and mash the pieces
  6. In the pan add all powders salt and mashed pieces
  7. Cook in low flame till it dries and well coated
  8. Serve with rice or roti
