ABOUT Cluster Beans Stir Fry... RECIPE

An easy stir fry recipe for an excellent side dish that goes well with both rotis and rice. It is done in no time at all. A perfect one for a satiating meal at any time of the day. The slight crunch of it due to stir frying makes it even more delectable as a yummy side dish with any gravy by the side. Try this simple comforting side dish for your loved ones and be prepared to be loaded with compliments.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Cluster Beans 1/2 kg
  2. Salt 1 tsp
  3. Grated ginger 1 tsp
  4. Asafoetida 1/8th tsp
  5. Oil 2-3 tbsp
  6. Black mustard seeds 1 tsp
  7. Dry red chillies 4-5
  8. Green chillies finely chopped 2-3
  9. Coriander powder 1 tsp
  10. Cumin powder 1 tsp
  11. Coriander leaves finely chopped 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Wash and chop the beans into very small as seen in the pic.
  2. Heat oil and add mustard seeds at first.
  3. Followed by red chillies and asafoetida.
  4. Aftee the seeds crackle, add the green chillies and the spices.
  5. Finally followed by the chopped cluster beans.
  6. Adjust salt accordingly and saute them all on a medium high heat.
  7. Keep stirring every now and then for about 5 minutes.
  8. Cover with a lid and lower the flame for the next 15 minutes.
  9. Uncover and garnish with coriander.
  10. Serve hot as desired.
