This is a healthy Burger with healthy green sprouts and fried Yam.No addition of regular onions or tomatoes or any sauce. It's a clean, healthy and tasty burger with unusual combo.. Must try one.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. For making Dinner Rolls
  2. All purpose flour 500 grams
  3. Milk powder 15 grams
  4. Salt 10 grams
  5. Sugar 15 grams
  6. Butter 25 grams
  7. Milk 150ml
  8. Water 150 ml
  9. Milk for wash 3 tablespoon
  10. Sesame seeds 2 tablespoon
  11. Butter for wash 1tablespoon
  12. For Stuffing Burger
  13. Green sprouts 1cup
  14. Yam slices 8
  15. Chilli powder 1teaspoon
  16. Turmeric powder 2pinch
  17. Salt to taste
  18. Oil 3 tablespoon
  19. Lemon 1/2
  20. Pepper powder 1teaspoon
  21. Butter for tossing
  22. Ghee for tossing bun (1teaspoon)

Instructions

  1. For making Dinner Rolls Add yeast to lukewarm milk and water and stir well. Take a bowl add salt first,flour, sugar and milk powder. Then add in the yeast mixture to it. Combine well with hand. I used hand to knead.
  2. After kneading for 5minutes, add butter and knead for 20 minutes. The dough should be ready with a good elasticity. Test by rolling a piece of dough and stretch out to test to test the elasticity by window pane test.
  3. After kneading well place the dough in an oiled vessel to prove. It'll take two hours for first proving. After first proving punch the dough well and divide into equal parts as dinner rolls.
  4. Wait for the dough for second rise. It'll take an hour for the second proving.
  5. After the second prove apply milk wash on top of the buns and sprinkle sesame seeds.
  6. Bake this in the preheated oven for 200 degrees centigrade for 15 minutes.
  7. After baking apply butter wash to get shiny look. Let it cool for few minutes before making stuffing for burger.
  8. Boil yam for few minutes with a pinch of turmeric powder, oil and salt to taste. In a small bowl add chilli powder, a pinch turmeric powder and salt to taste. Make a paste with little water.
  9. Apply this paste on to yam and fry on medium heat. Get ready with green sprouts lemon, pepper powder and salt.
  10. Take freshly baked bun and cut it into half. I prefer to slightly toss in tawa with ghee. Place sprouted greens on the top of the bun.
  11. Now place fried yam.
  12. On top again spread some green sprouts and sprinkle some pepper powder.
  13. Squeeze some lime juice on top and sprinkle little salt.
  14. Stuffing is done. Place the sesame bun.
  15. Spread a bed of green sprouts and place the Green sprouts yam burger on it.
  16. Healthy, crunchy, tangy and spicy homemade bun with Green sprouts and Yam Burger is ready for any meal.
  17. No cheese, sauce or mayo. It's pure healthy Burger which can be consumed by all. Those who prefers any sauce, cheese or mayo its optional.
