ABOUT Aloo dam with coriander leaves RECIPE

It's a vegetarian bengali dish for healthy tiffin recipes,and can be served with some rotis of pooris on the side.

Ingredients Serving: 7

  1. Potato(medium size)--10
  2. Coriander leaves paste(large volume)
  3. Ginger-Garlic paste
  4. Green chillies paste --6
  5. Paste in a mixer grinder
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Turmeric powder --1/2 tblspns
  8. Sugar
  9. Soyabean oil(to cook)
  10. Water(to boil)
  11. Cloves --2
  12. Cardamom --4
  13. Cinnamon --1(small)

Instructions

  1. Take 4 tbsp of oil in a pan and cook the potatoes for 10 minutes to shallow fry them.
  2. When fried enough, strain and keep them aside
  3. Add some more oil and add cinnamon, cardamom and cloves(whole garam masala) in it
  4. Saute them
  5. Then add the entire paste in the pan(ginger-garlic paste along with coriander leaves and green chillies)
  6. Add potatoes
  7. Add salt, 1/2 tbsp of turmeric powder and 2 tbsp of sugar
  8. Lastly add water for the gravy.
  9. When finished serve hot.
