ABOUT Sweet potato and Soya Burger RECIPE

Flavourful , healthy option for breakfast , lunchbox or after school snacks, especially for kids. Lots of options to include different vegetables. Here I have used sweet potato with soya to form the vegetable patty.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. FOR BURGER PATTIES
  2. Sweet potato - 1 , Boiled and mashed
  3. Soya Granules - ½cup, cooked
  4. Instant Oats - ¼cup
  5. Onion Powder - 2tbsp, (or fresh chopped onion)
  6. Chili powder - 2tsp
  7. Cumin Powder - 1tsp
  8. Chaat masala - 2tsp
  9. Black pepper powder - 1tsp
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Corainder leaves - ¼cup, chopped
  12. For frying
  13. Cornfour - ¼cup
  14. Maida or all purpose flour - ⅛cup
  15. Salt to taste
  16. Oil for Deep frying
  17. FOR ASSEMBLING
  18. Burger buns - 2
  19. Tomato slices
  20. Onion rings
  21. lettuce or cabbage leaves
  22. Cheese slice
  23. Dr. Oetkar Burger Veg Mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Cook soya granules as per box instructions
  2. Mix together all the ingredients required for burger patties in a bowl.
  3. Mash and mix all ingredients and shape it in form of patty
  4. Take all ingredients required for frying the patty
  5. Form a slurry of cornfour and maida with water.
  6. Dip the patty once in cornfour-maida slurry and then coat it with bread crumbs.
  7. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry all the prepared patties
  8. Remove all fired patties on absorbent paper and let it cool.
  9. To assemble the burger, gather all the required ingredients
  10. Cut burger buns in two and heat butter in a pan and lightly toast the buns
  11. Apply Dr. Oetkars Veg Burger Mayonnaise on both sides.
  12. Place lettuce or cabbage leaves on the bottom bun, followed by the fried patty, cheese slice, tomato and onion.
  13. Semear more mayonnaise on the top bun and press it to complete.
  14. Serve warm.
