ABOUT Veg burger RECIPE

Veg burger recipe - Crispy fried patties in burger bun with hung curd or mayo dressing.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 2 large potato mashed
  2. 2 chopped carrot
  3. 1/2 cup peas
  4. Ginger garlic paste 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Ginger powder 1/2 teaspoon
  6. 1/2 cup chopped beans
  7. 2/3 chopped green chilli
  8. 1/2 gram masala
  9. Mix well
  10. 1/2 cup bread crumb poha powder and chickpea/rice flou
  11. Corn flour batter
  12. Burger buns
  13. ½ ripe fire tomatoes (deseeds)
  14. ½ onion optional
  15. ½ cup burger mayonise
  16. ½ teaspoon olive oil
  17. 1 ½ teaspoon lemon juice
  18. 1 ½ mustard powder
  19. ⅓ pepper powder
  20. Salt if using greek yogurt (skip for mayo

Instructions

  1. Steam potatoes and beans until half cooked.
  2. Then add the rest of the veggies and steam until just done. They should not be mushy. Mash these well when cooled.
  3. Add chilies, ginger, garam masala, salt, mint or coriander. Mix them up well along with bread crumbs or roasted flour. Make 6 equal sized balls and flatten them.
  4. Make a batter with chickpea flour or rice flour using enough water. Dip each of these in the batter and then in the bread crumbs.
  5. Set them aside for a while. Make a sauce by mixing mayo/ greek yogurt , olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Mix well.
  6. Shallow or pan fry the patties until golden. Drain on a kitchen tissue. Transfer the oil to a bowl. Slice and toast the buns
  7. Making veg burger Spread some ketchup if you like. Place the patties, then the lettuce, onions and tomatoes. Add the sauce. Place the other slice of bun. veg burger is ready.
  8. Best served immediately. Keeps good for 2 hours if no mayo is used.
