ABOUT Coconut Coriander Green Chutney.... RECIPE

A chutney or an accompaniment to a variety of food in our country. Simple and flavourful with freshly grated coconut and coriander greens. It goes well with many a popular South Indian dishes and even with lipsmacking array of chaats. It is therefore totally a bliss. It compliments every dish with grace. Happy Blending !!!!!!!!!!!

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Coconut grated 1 cup
  2. Coriander leaves chopped 1/2 cup
  3. Green chillies 2
  4. Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  5. Salt 1 tsp
  6. Grated ginger 1 tbsp
  7. Roasted bengal gram or chana dal 2 tbsp
  8. Oil 1 tbsp
  9. Water 1/4th cup

Instructions

  1. Heat oil and add grated ginger and chopped green chillies.
  2. Now add bengal gram and roast for a minute or two on a low flame.
  3. Now add coconut and coriander leaves and saute for a minute or two more.
  4. Add all these to a blender with salt and lemon juice.
  5. Blend until smooth with as little water as possible.
  6. Do not add much water.
  7. Serve with Idlis, Dosas, Medu Vadas, Uttappams and Mysore bondas.
