Chocolate and banana- a combo made in heaven. It is no doubt a chocolate lover's delight and perks up any festive occasion to the fullest. Enjoy this super soft and spongy banana loaf with your near and dear ones. Chocolaty and gooey to the last bite.

Ingredients Serving: 6

All purpose flour 1 1/2 cups
Sugar 2/3rd cup
Vanilla essence 1 tsp
Egg 1
Mashed bananas 1 cup
Cocoa powder 1/2 cup
Baking powder 1 1/2 tsp
Milk 1/4th cup
Butter 1/2 cup
Salt 1/8th tsp
Chocolate chips 1/4th cup (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the oven on 180°.
Grease and flour a 9×13" loaf tin.
In a large mixing bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt.
In a separate bowl, mix bananas, egg, milk and butter.
Stir in banana mixture into flour mix and take care not to over mix.
Stir in chocolate chips now.
Pour the batter into the loaf tin and bake for about 30 minutes or little more.
Check for doneness after 30 minutes with a skewer inserted into the middle of the loaf.
Cool on a rack before slicing.
