ABOUT Better Butter Garlic Fried Rice RECIPE

I love garlic and so does everyone in my family. This fried rice is a little different than the usual, thanks to garlic for a unique flavor, and we put butter to make it so much better. It's garlicky and oh-so-good! It's seriously the most tasty buttery rice you'll ever eat.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Basmati rice - 1 and 1/2 cup
  2. Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp
  3. Garlic, chopped - 3 tbsp
  4. Onion, finely chopped - 2
  5. Green chilly, chopped 5-6
  6. French beans, chopped - 3 tbsp
  7. Carrot, grated - 1/4 cup
  8. Black pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  9. Butter - 5 tbsp
  10. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Clean, wash and soak the rice for 1 hour.
  2. Take 1 liter water in a wok and add 1 tsp salt and let it boil. Once the water starts boiling, add in the soaked rice. Cook till the rice is properly cooked.
  3. Strain it using the strainer to get rid of extra water.
  4. Keep all the ingredients ready for the fried rice. Heat the wok with oil and saute with garlic. Stir for 30 seconds.
  5. Add onions, cook till the onions are translucent in color. Add french beans and green chillies. Cook for another 2-3 minutes on a high flame.
  6. Next, add carrot and cook for a few more seconds.
  7. Then add salt as per taste. Mix it well and cook it on a high flame for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Turn off the flame. Transfer the cooked rice onto a big thali.
  9. Add all the cooked veggies on top of the rice and mix gently with your bare hands. (Be careful while doing this step. Don't burn your fingers. Also make sure your hands are clean)
  10. Finally, add butter and pepper powder, mix it well.
  11. Cook for 2 more minutes before serving.
  12. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve it hot.
