Mixed veg upma is good for everyone,anyone from infant to aged person can have it.It has the nutrients of different vegerables and rava or sooji .For infants you can make it more watery.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 3/4  cup fine rava - sooji
  2. 1 medium sized onion -chopped
  3. Green chilli-4(chopped)(optional)
  4. 1 teaspoon chana dal or bengal gram dal
  5. 1 teaspoon urad dal 
  6. ½ inch ginger grated
  7. Chopped carrots,beans-1/2cup
  8. Green peas-1/4 cup
  9. 2  cups water
  10. 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds 
  11. 10 curry leaves
  12. 10 to 12 cashews (kaju)
  13. 2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
  14. 2 tablespoons oil or ghee
  15. salt as required
  16. Lemon juice-1/4cup

Instructions

  1. Dry roast rava or sooji in a pan
  2. Remove from heat and keep aside
  3. Heat oil in a pan
  4. Temper the oil with chana dal,urad dal,curry leaves,and grated ginger,fry for 1 minute
  5. Add chopped onion,
  6. Add all the chopped veggies
  7. Add salt and mix
  8. Add 2cupa water,bring the water to boil,when the water will start boiling,simmer the gas,add sooji or rava in batches
  9. Simmer the gas and cover with lid
  10. Cook until all vegetables are done or water will dried up
  11. Sprinkle some lemon juice and serve
