This dish is easy and quintessential for winters, made with carrots.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Carrot 1 kg
  2. Cardamon 4
  3. Saffron 12 thread
  4. Milk 1 and 1/2 litre
  5. Malai or cream 4tbsp
  6. Sugar 2 cup
  7. Almonds 10
  8. Cashews 10

Instructions

  1. Wash, peel and grate the carrots. Now heat a kadhai and add the grated carrots. Cook them on a medium flame for about 10 minutes.
  2. Then add milk & boil for 10 minutes on a medium flame, mix well. Keep stirring and cooking until the carrots are soft and cooked.
  3. Now add the sugar and mix well. Keep cooking and add the cardamom, saffron threads. Cook until the mixture is dry enough.
  4. Serve hot with some cashew nuts and almonds garnished on top.
