ABOUT Khimti- Rice cerelac for babies RECIPE

This is a home made rice cerelac which can be given to babies 6 months onwards also elderly people can have this as its easy to digest and nutritious. Can be made in variations. A must have receipie for every new mom.

Instructions

Wash rice and moong dal separately
Rinse and let it dry separately on cotton cloth under fan or in sunlight for 2-3 hours
Once it's dried slightly roast rice on pan and let it cool also roast moong dal separately , let it cool. . Roast ajwain slightly and methi dana as well.
Now grind rice in mixer coarse powder then grind moong Dal, ajwain and methidana. Mix all and keep this in airtight container. This rice cerelac can be stored for a month.
Now you can prepare it anytime instantly whenever need to feed baby. Just mix one spoon powder to one cup water and salt. Boil it for few minutes by stirring until it's becomes thick. Put few drops of ghee and serve warm. For variations You can add mashed veggies, mashed fruits, Dry fruits, Milk, curd.
