ABOUT Microwave Masala Papad... RECIPE

Masala papad is an all time favourite of many a people in our country. It is the most quickest snack ever that can be had during those unstoppable hunger pangs. And what more could anyone ask for if it is made effortlessly without frying? Well, you can do that in a microwave with practically zero oil and in a few seconds too. Try this simple recipe anytime you wish to have this with less efforts and pretty much with just a snap of your fingers.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Papad or poppadums 8 to 10
  2. Cucumbers finely chopped 2
  3. Tomatoes finely chopped 2
  4. Onions finely chopped 2
  5. Bell peppers finely chopped 2
  6. Green chillies finely chopped 2
  7. Roasted cumin powder 1/2 a tsp
  8. Chaat Masala 1 tbsp
  9. Lemon juice 3 tbsp
  10. Coriander leaves finely chopped a handful
  11. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Chop all the veggies and set aside.
  2. In a microwave on POWER HIGH, roast them directly on the turntable. Set the time to 30 seconds.
  3. I have used a 1250 Watt Microwave. If you have a different one, the time might differ a bit. So do it accordingly.
  4. Every batch of 4 to 5 papads takes just 30 secs flat. It is so quick and less messy too.
  5. If you wish just apply a bit of oil on each papad before roasting with a pastry brush.
  6. Mix all the veggies with the spices and the lemon juice.
  7. Place about 3 tablespoons of this mix on each roasted papad.
  8. Enjoy with family and friends at anytime you wish to have these.
