ABOUT Chai spiced banana muffins RECIPE

Everyone's favourite banana muffins given a whole new taste with chai spice. Simply tasty to be enjoyed in these winter evenings.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Wheat flour - 1 1/4 cup
  2. Bananas - 2 riped
  3. Sugar powder - 1/2 cup (AS REQUIRED)
  4. Spices powders :
  5. Pepper - 1/8 tsp
  6. Cinnamon - 1/8 tsp
  7. Ginger - 1/8 tsp
  8. Nutmeg - a pinch
  9. Cardamon-1/2 tsp
  10. Vanila essence - 1/2 tsp
  11. Baking Powder - 3/4 tsp
  12. Baking soda - 1 pinch
  13. Water / milk - 1 cup or little more
  14. Oil - 1/4 cup
  15. Choco chips - 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°
  2. Mash the bananas, add the vanilla essence, oil and whisk properly. Add water or milk whichever is being used. Whisk.
  3. Add sugar powder and mix
  4. Seive the flour with the spice powders, baking soda and baking powder. Add in the wet mixture and fold using cut and fold method.
  5. Mix half of the choco chips in the batter
  6. Keep the rest to garnish before placing to bake
  7. Spoon into muffin liners kept on the muffin tray filling 3/4 of a cup.
  8. Bake at a reduced temperature of 160 ° for around 35 minutes
  9. Keep a check on the last 5 to 7 minutes checking with a skewer
  10. When done let it rest for 5 minutes on a wire rack.
  11. Mix a pinch each of all spice powders in two tbsps of sugar powder and dust over the warm muffins
  12. Enjoy the snowy spicy warm muffins.
