Today i try to innovate tihri in a new way. Addition of butter milk in tihri with healthy vegetables give it a tangy yet yummy flavour. Do try this yummy recipe and enjoy its different yet delicious taste.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Rice 1/2 cup
  2. Split wheat 1/2 cup
  3. Moong dal 1/2 cup
  4. Butter milk 3 cups
  5. Water 1 cup
  6. Garlic chopped 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Grated ginger 1 teaspoon
  8. Onion finely chopped 1 tablespoon
  9. Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  10. Maggie masala magic 1 teaspoon
  11. Garam masala 1 teaspoon
  12. oregano 1/2 teaspoon
  13. Salt as per taste
  14. Ghee 2 tablespoon
  15. Chopped spring onion 2 tablespoon
  16. Louki 200 grams
  17. Coriander leaves 1/2cup
  18. Green chili 2-4 , chopped - adjust

Instructions

  1. Grate Lauki, chop coriander leaves and keep it aside
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon ghee in a pan.
  3. Add grated lauki, coriander leaves and spring onions. Mix well
  4. Saute on medium flame till vegetables become soft and bit crunchy.
  5. Add salt and chili. Mix well Switch off the flame.keep it aside
  6. Now heat remaining ghee in pressure cooker.
  7. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle.
  8. Add onions, ginger paste and garlic. Keep sauteing till ghee releases.
  9. Now add rice, split wheat and moong dal. Saute for 2 minutes.
  10. Add butter milk and water in pressure cooker. Stir well.
  11. Add desired salt and chili. Mix well . Cover with cooker lid and cook on slow flame for 20 minutes.
  12. Once the steam is released, add oregano , garam masala and maggi masala magic. Mix well.
  13. Now add cooked vegetables and mix again.
  14. Serve hot with any Chutney
