Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Cluster beans 300 gms
  2. Toor Dal 4 tbsp
  3. Grated coconut 3 tablespoons
  4. cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  5. Dry Red chilies 3
  6. Shallots (Pearl Onions) 4
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Oil 2 tbsp
  10. Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  11. Urad dal 1 tsp
  12. Curry Leaves 6-7

Instructions

  1. Clean and chop cluster beans into small pieces.
  2. Grind coconut, shallots, red chilies and cumin seeds coarsely
  3. Boil water in a pan and add dal and turmeric powder. Mix well
  4. Cook for 5 minutes. Add cluster beans and salt. Mix well
  5. Cover and cook until veggies are tender and dal is soft
  6. Once water evaporates,add ground paste and mix well
  7. Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds. Add urad dal and curry leaves, saute until golden brown. Add seasoning to dal and mix well
  8. Serve warm with rice.
