Chegodilu is a very popular traditional Indian savory snack especially prepared during festivals or served as tea-time snack. This savory snack is often prepared in the states of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Water - 1 cup.
  2. Salt - 1 tsp or to taste.
  3. Deggi mirch - 1 tsp
  4. Ajwain - 1/2 tsp
  5. Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  6. Asafoetida - 1 pinch.
  7. Rice flour - 150 grams.
  8. Oil - 1 tbsp + to fry

Instructions

  1. IN A WOK ADD 1 CUP WATER, 1 TSP SALT 1 TSP DEGGI MIRCH
  2. ADD 1 TBSP OIL 1/2 TSP CUMIN SEEDS 1/2 TSP CARROM SEEDS
  3. WHEN IT COMES TO BOIL ADD 150 GM RICE FLOUR
  4. MIX WELL
  5. TRANSFER IN A BOWL
  6. Roll it lightly
  7. MAKE SMALL RINGS
  8. DEEP FRY THE RINGS IN HOT OIL
  9. TAKE OUT ON A TISSUE PAPER.
  10. ENJOY!
