Focaccia is an Italian baked flat bread recipe topped with lots of herbs and seasoning similar to pizza base.This recipe is very easy to prepare at home and taste incredible delicious

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. All purpose flour 2 cups
  2. Lukewarm milk 1/2 cup
  3. Lukewarm water 1/4 cup
  4. Oil 3 tablespoon
  5. Butter 2 tablespoon
  6. Milk powder 2 tablespoon
  7. Dry active yeast 1/2 tablespoon
  8. Sugar 1/2 tablespoon
  9. Red chilli flakes 1/2 teaspoon
  10. Mixed herbs seasoning 1/2 teaspoon
  11. Salt1 teaspoon
  12. Rosemary fresh or dried 1/4 teaspoon
  13. Some onion slices
  14. Some capsicum slices (green yellow red)
  15. Some mushroom slices

Instructions

  1. First of all in a large bowl take the warm milk add yeast to it along with the sugar let it sit for 10 to 25 minutes for proofing.
  2. After that add oil to this with salt and mixed herbs seasoning and stir well Next to this goes flour in it and add water slowly mixed well with the help of the spatuall first as the dough will be sticky at this point of time keep mixing it untill the dough has pulled together
  3. And now with the help of greased hands removed the dough on to a lightly floured surface and now keep kneading the dough with some more oil aroung 5 minutes Keep doughing this and scraping it untill it becomes little smooth and elastic
  4. Now take the dough with your oiled hands and place it in to a greased baking dish and pat it and spread it nicely to covered the baking dish all around Now covered it with a damp cloth or cling film place it in a warm place for 1 to 1 and 1/2 an hour or untill it becomes double in volume
  5. Now its been 1 and 1/2 an hour and it has puffed up up to the top
  6. Now with the help of your greased fingers punch it or prick it all around the dough will be bouncy at this point of time
  7. Now brush it with some butter or oil on top
  8. Next sprinkle some chilli flakes some mixed herbs seasoning and some dried rose mary over it Next put some sliced onions coloured bell peppers green yellow and red with some sliced mushrooms all around rendomly u can use any topping u like Again sprinkle very little salt over the veggies
  9. Now it is ready to bake put this in the pre heated oven bake at 200 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or untill its bakes enough with good golden brown colour on top
  10. Remove this brush it with butter on top Turn this upside down onto a tray again invert it cut this into pieces .
  11. Can see the piece of focaccia how nicely it has come out with the thick and fluffy texture and when am pressing it it bounces back which is the sign of its sponginess
