ABOUT Feta thyme cake( turkish salty cake) RECIPE

Feta cheese is very salty and is used in many salads . In greek, feta means slice. It is a white cheese made in greece from sheep's milk or a mixture of sheep and goat's milk. Thyme is an aromatic herb which is helpful to reduce cold . This recipe has both the goodness of thyme and feta cheese and is savoury cake.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Maida- 2 cups
  2. Baking powder-2teaspoon
  3. Baking soda-1/2 teaspoon
  4. Salt-1/2 teaspoon
  5. Vegetable oil/ corn oil- 1/2 cup
  6. Yogurt-1/2 cup
  7. Eggs-4
  8. Feta cheese-1 cup

Instructions

  1. In a blender , add all ingredients and blend well .
  2. Grease a cake pan with butter and dust it with little flour and now transfer the blended batter into the greased pan.
  3. Preheat oven at 180 C and bake for 45 min . Insert a tooth pick and check if it needs 5 more min to bake.
  4. When done, transfer the cake pan onto cooling rack.
  5. Cut into slices and serve hot and store the remaining cake in refrigerator.
