Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1/2 cup besan flour
  2. 1 /2 tbsp chilli powder
  3. 1/2 jeera
  4. 1/4 tsp hing
  5. Salt to taste
  6. 1 ridge guard
  7. Pinch cooking soda
  8. Oil for frying
  9. Puffed rice for coating
  10. 1 onion finely chopped
  11. 1/2 lime

Instructions

  1. Wash ridge guard and scrape the skin then cut thin in length wise
  2. Take a bowl add besan flour chilli powder cumin powder salt hing and soda add water mix well without any lumps to thick batter.
  3. Heat the pan add enough oil for frying when oil is hot enough dip the ridge guard pieces into besan batter and roll it on puffed rice and slowly drop the ridge guard into oil fry until golden brown in color on low flame or fry for 3 to 4 minutes
  4. You can have this with chopped onion tomato ketchup and hot sauce and lime juice serve hot crispy and yummy ridge guard with puffed rice is ready thank you happy cooking
