ABOUT Besan Cardamom Banana Cake RECIPE

Avid lover of dessert , I love trying variations always...one such variation is this cake. I love Cinnamon Flavor and its my favorite in cakes...Substituting Wheat or All purpose flour in cakes isnt easy and you cannot directly substitute it, it requires bit of experimentation..The cake has come perfect. Its spongy moist delicious in taste, definitely worth a try

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 large ripe banana
  2. 3/4 cup roasted besan
  3. 1tsp cardamom
  4. 2tbsp vegetable oil
  5. 3/4 tsp Baking Powder
  6. 1/4tsp Baking soda
  7. 1/4 cup cane or powdered sugar
  8. 1 egg
  9. 1/4 cup Yoghurt
  10. 1/4 cup nuts of your choice
  11. Pinch of salt
  12. 1tsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. Mash ripe banana with fork and keep it aside
  2. Preheat the oven to 180 degree Celsius. Line cake tin
  3. Sieve dry ingredients
  4. Add cardamom to sieved ingredients and mix well. Keep it aside
  5. Whisk egg yoghurt oil, sugar , vanilla extract until well blended
  6. Add nuts and mashed bananas. Mix well
  7. Add dry ingredients and whisk until well combined
  8. Pour batter into prepared cake tin
  9. Bake the cake for 20-30mins until it's done. Keep an eye on the cake from 20th minute
  10. Allow to cool for 30 minutes. S Demould and cool on wire rack completely
  11. Dust with icicing sugar or frost and serve. You can serve cake as is too
