Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Mixed fruits deskinned and chopped in cubes 500gms(ripe mango, kiwi, strawberries, blueberries, ripe papaya, apple, pineapple, etc)
  2. Brown sugar 100 gms
  3. Lemon juice 20ml

Instructions

  1. Wash and steralize a glass jar of min 350-400gms capacity.
  2. Seperate the fruits into the ones you can deseed them easily like( apples, oranges, mango) than the ones which are not(strawberries, raspberries, kiwi, etc)
  3. Blend the ones which are already deseeded separately into a fine paste in batches if you may prefer and collect them in a heavy bottom pan/cooking pot.
  4. The ones with seeds needs to be blended seperately and seived into the pot.
  5. Now turn on the gas stove and keep cooking while you stir for a few minutes on medium heat
  6. Now add in the sugar and lemon juice one by one and mix well
  7. You may notice a frothy layer on the surface after sometime which is common and can be ignored as it disappears gradually.
  8. Keep cooking on medium to low heat avoiding sticking to the pan
  9. Check with a steel spoon on the desired thickness of the mix.
  10. Once satisfied with the consistency, switch off the stove and fill in the hot jam into the glass jar and tightly close the lid and place it in a cool place for the jam to set.
  11. Not necessary, but you may prefer to store it in the refrigerator as well.
