ABOUT Capsicum Rings RECIPE

Inspired by onion rings, I have made these capsicum rings. These rings are a crunchy, deep-fried snack that is perfect for winters.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Capsicum 1 piece
  2. Chickpea flour 6 tbsp
  3. All purpose flour 1 tbsp
  4. Bread crumbs 1 cup
  5. Soda a pinch
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Chopped coriander 1 tbsp
  8. Chopped mint leaves 1 tbsp
  9. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  10. chilli powder 1 tsp
  11. Garam masala 1/4 tsp
  12. Water to make batter
  13. Oil for Deep frying
  14. Lemon wedge to serve
  15. Chaat masala to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix both flours, spices, soda and salt.
  2. Add water and make a smooth batter.
  3. Add chopped mint and coriander leaves.
  4. Slice capsicum in round discs.
  5. Heat oil for frying.
  6. Drop the capsicum rings in dry maida.
  7. Then drop them in the prepared batter.
  8. Coat with bread crumbs.
  9. Deep-fry in hot oil.
  10. Fry till nice, crispy and golden brown in colour.
