ABOUT Gul-e-firdaus RECIPE

A heydrabadi delicacy. Delicious milk pudding with bottle guard and tapiaoca pearls.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Milk 500 ml
  2. Ghee 1 tbsp
  3. Bottle guard grated 1/2 cup
  4. Soaked sago/topiaco pearls 1/2 cup
  5. Milk maid 1/3 cup
  6. Almond paste 2 tbsp
  7. Kewra essence 1 tesp

Instructions

  1. In a pan heat ghee and roast grated bottle guard till moisture evaporates.
  2. Add milk and soaked sago. Cook on low till milk starts thicken up and sago gets translucent.
  3. Add milk maid and almond paste. Mix well. Cook for another two minutes, stiring continuously.
  4. Off the flame and add Kewra essence. Stir well.
  5. Serve warm or chilled.
