ABOUT Cauliflower Cabbage Fry RECIPE

This cauliflower cabbage fry is a quick, easy and soulful dish. It is a no onion, ginger, garlic and tomato dish and a perfect side dish, goes well with rice, chapattis and pooris.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Cabbage - ½ of small cabbage sliced thinly
  2. Cauliflower - 1 small chopped
  3. Oil - 2 tbsp
  4. Cumin Seeds - 1 Tsp
  5. Fenugreek seeds - ¼ tsp
  6. Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
  7. Chilly powder - 1 tsp
  8. Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Pepper to taste
  11. few chopped coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. In a sauce pan bring little water to boil just enough to steam the Cauliflower. Add the Cauliflower, salt to taste and boil for 2-3 mins. Take out the Cauliflower florets and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a kadai. Add the cumin seeds and fenugreek seeds and let them sizzle.
  3. Add the cabbage and cauliflower and toss well.
  4. Add in turmeric powder, salt, mix well. Cover the kadai and cook for about 5-10 mins.
  5. Add the chilly powder, garam masala powder, season with pepper and toss well and cook for 2-3 mins.
  6. Add the chopped coriander leaves, give a quick stir and take off the flame.
