ABOUT Cauliflower Multigrain Thin Crust Pizza RECIPE

Pizza prepared with Cauliflower florets, Ragi flour, Oats and lots of veggies makes its healthy. It’s a very good alternative for pizza prepared from flour or Maida, yeast. Easy to make and tastes awesome.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For Crust - Cauliflower Florets – 2cups
  2. Rolled Oats – ½ cup
  3. Ragi or Finger Millet Flour – 1/4th cup
  4. Oregano- 1tsp
  5. Red Chili Flakes – ½ tbsp.
  6. Garlic Cloves – 3nos - Crushed
  7. salt as per taste
  8. Oil – 1-2 tbsp for brushing dough and pizza.
  9. Water as required for boiling florets
  10. For Topping - Button Mushrooms – 1/4th cup (Washed thoroughly and sliced)
  11. Red Capsicum – 1 tbsp. thinly sliced
  12. Yellow Capsicum – 2tbsp – Thinly sliced
  13. Pizza Sauce – 1 ½ tbsp. for spreading + 1-2 tsp for coating veggies.
  14. Mozzarella Cheese – 1/2 - 3/4th cup
  15. Processed cheese – ½ cup
  16. For Garnishing – Yellow, Red Capsicum, Green Chili, Chili Flakes, dry Cranberries.

Instructions

  1. For Topping – Wash and thinly slice mushrooms, Red and yellow capsicums.
  2. Add sauce and mix well. Keep aside.
  3. Grate mozzarella and processed cheese.
  4. For Crust - Separate and wash Cauliflower florets thoroughly. In a pan add water, florets and salt. Cook for 5-10 minutes until tender.
  5. Drain water completely. Once cooled, using a muslin cloth over a bowl, squeeze out water from florets as much as possible. Water can be used for kneading flour or preparing soup.
  6. In a blender, blend Rolled oats into fine powder.
  7. Blend cooked and squeezed florets, peeled, crushed garlic cloves. Add half powdered oats. Blend and remove it in a bowl.
  8. Add oregano, red chili flakes, salt, remaining oats powder and finger millet flour. Mix well and knead into a dough.
  9. Wrap dough tightly with cling wrap and keep it in a freeze for 5-10 minutes.
  10. Preheat oven at 180 degree C
  11. Grease a pizza pan with oil. Spread cauliflower dough evenly all over the pan to round disc or any desired shape. Brush some oil on top and bake in preheated oven for 20-21 minutes.
  12. Remove it. let it cool for a bit. Spread pizza sauce on the top of it.
  13. Layer the sliced veggies. Top with processed and mozzarella cheese.
  14. Bake in preheated oven for 7-8 minutes or until top turns slightly golden.
  15. Garnish, Slice and serve hot.
