Khichri it is an ideal brunch recipe when kids came from school we can made them to eat this healthy khichri served in canapes . which is very very healthy and delicious

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup rice
  2. 1 cup moong dhuli daal
  3. 2 tbsp ghee
  4. 1 tsp jeera [cumin seeds]
  5. Hing [Asafoetida]
  6. Salt
  7. Haldi [turmeric powder] - 1/4 th tsp
  8. 1/2 cup Boiled and pureed spinach
  9. 1/2 cup Boil peas
  10. 1/2 cup chopped onion
  11. 1 green chilli
  12. Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  13. Pepper powder - 1/4 th tsp
  14. Coriander leaves
  15. Cherry tomato for garnish

Instructions

  1. Put the washed rice and dal along with turmeric powder and salt, in a pressure cooker pan.
  2. Now heat some ghee in a kadhai.
  3. Add cumin seeds and asafoetida.
  4. Now add the chopped onion and saute.
  5. Add ginger chilli paste , mix it.
  6. Then take palak puree and peas and add them
  7. Mix all of them and add salt
  8. Add khichri to the above mixture and mix nicely.
  9. Lastly add lemon juice and coriander leaves
  10. Take canapes and roast them for 2 min, in a preheated oven at 180 degree celsius.
  11. Now serve khichri in canapes
  12. Garnish with cherry tomato
