ABOUT Doodhpaak RECIPE

Doodh paak is a semi-thick mithai, brimful with the goodness of milk. The milk is simmered for a while; then the rice is added and simmered till cooked. As the rice is cooked completely in the milk, it imbibes a luxurious flavour and aroma. The cardamom smells and aroma, end complete the royal feel of this dish! Dudhpaak made during fastival or party time or special occasion.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 litter full fat milk
  2. 1 Small Bowl rice(1/2CUP)
  3. 1 tbsp dhee
  4. 1 Small Bowl sugar(1/2 cup)
  5. 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
  6. 1 tbsp almond
  7. 1 tbsp chirongi / charoli

Instructions

  1. Wash the rice and drain well.add the ghee, mix and keep a side.
  2. Boil the milk in pan on a high flame, continuously stirring it 4-5 minutes.
  3. Add rice -ghee mixture, mix well and cook on slow flame approximately 15 minutes, while stirring.
  4. Add the sugar and cardamom powder , Mix well and cook on slow flame 5 -6 minutes.keep stirring continuously.
  5. Cooldown and refrigerate for 1/2 hour.
  6. garnish with almond and chirongi.
