ABOUT Healthy Varieties of Pancakes from Different Grains RECIPE

A healthy variety of grains with fruits like banana, apple, pear and fresh apricot; and nuts like walnuts, almonds, cashewnuts, figs, and raisins. This dish makes a flavoured breakfast option. Full of energy and enriched with calcium, protiens and fibers, it is a super healthy snack coated with chocolate sauce. Its a kid friendly snack.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Jowar millet powder 1 1/2 cup
  2. Bajra millet powder 1 1/2 cup
  3. Wheat millet powder 1 1/2 cup
  4. Milk 1/2 cup
  5. Water 1/2 cup
  6. Caster sugar 1/2 cup
  7. Jagger 1/4 cup
  8. Baking powder 1/4 tsp
  9. Butter or ghee as per your preference
  10. Chocolate sauce 3 tbsp
  11. Tutti Frutti a few
  12. Assorted nuts
  13. Assorted Fruits
  14. Assorted biscuits

Instructions

  1. Make jaggery syrup by adding jaggery and water to the pan. Stir for 2 minutes till it dissolves. And let it cool down.
  2. Make batter of wheat flour, by mixing water and milk. Add baking powder and 1/4 cup of sugar. Blend it with a blender. Make sure there are no lumps. Let it rest for few minutes.
  3. Make the batter of bajra flour with jaggery syrup, milk, baking powder and water. Blend them together.
  4. Make the batter of jowar flour by adding jowar with milk, water, 1/4 cup sugar and baking powder.
  5. Now coat a bottom of the pan, with either butter or ghee over medium heat, pour the batter one by one and cook until golden brown and set about 2 minutes each side.
  6. Let the bajra pancake cool.
  7. Let the Howard pancake cool.
  8. 8. Let the wheat pancake cool.
  9. Pancakes can be shaped into different characters to attract the kids . For now a Teddy Bear, start with a Stomach made with wheat flour pancake, hands made of bajra flour pancake, legs made of jowar flour pancake. With a plating of different fruits and nuts and coating of chocolate sauce.
  10. Or make an owl as shown in the picture.
